AMCON’s work across Signature Commons included site and plaza development, core and shell construction, and full retail and office fit-outs. The team provided tenant design-build services along with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, interior finishes, flooring, and exterior improvements throughout the plaza.
The development features a 6,000-square-foot restaurant facility, a 30,000-square-foot mixed-use building, a 14,500-square-foot retail building, and a 10,000-square-foot office fit-out in Boston. AMCON initially completed the shell for Starbucks and was later hired directly to perform the full retail fit-out, ensuring strict adherence to national brand standards and interior guidelines.
This multi-year project was shaped by one defining challenge: the COVID-19 pandemic. Material price volatility and supply chain disruptions required continuous value engineering and creative problem-solving to maintain budgets without sacrificing quality.
AMCON guided strategic adjustments in real time, protecting project timelines while navigating fluctuating costs and uncertainty.
Today, Signature Commons is a vibrant, modern destination that blends retail, dining, entertainment, office, and multi-family living into one cohesive development. Starbucks serves as a key anchor tenant in North Andover, driving traffic and energy to the plaza.
Through disciplined project management and proactive value engineering, AMCON successfully delivered every phase of the project — proving that even in uncertain conditions, quality and performance remain the standard.
