Within an occupied lab building, AMCON successfully fit out the office space for the Dean of Engineering at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Scope of Work

This project included a new office space for the Dean of Engineering, including functional spaces, storage, a layout designed for cubicles, and streamlined University branding.

Challenges & Highlights

Working in an occupied space always presents challenges, making sure that the space is safe, contained, and progress is efficient. With students, faculty, and visitors, it was vital to keep construction carefully supervised and contained.

Results

While the lab building remained open for education, AMCON’s team quickly and seamlessly completed this construction project that resulted in an organized, efficiently laid out office space for faculty and staff.
