We are a WBE, family-owned construction management firm seeking a driven and strategic Client RelationsDirector to take the lead in our business development efforts. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
• Develop and implement a targeted business development strategy across Retail, Hospitality, Mixed Use/Multi-Unit, Corporate, Civic and Institutional sectors.
• Execute plans to exceed goals and drive company growth.
Relationship Management
• Build and sustain strong relationships with key industry partners: developers, architects, engineers, property owners, and more.
• Host quarterly client events to deepen connections and showcase our expertise.
Industry Engagement
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
• Actively participate in industry groups, boards, and organizations to increase visibility.
CRM & Pipeline Management
• Leverage CRM tools to track leads, manage client interactions, and monitor opportunities.
• Ensure accurate reporting and actionable insights from the CRM.
Market Awareness
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to refine strategies and stay ahead.
Proposal Development & Collaboration
• Work closely with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that highlight our unique value.
• Collaborate with marketing to align campaigns and initiatives with business development goals.
Reporting & Follow-Up
• Provide regular updates to the CEO on pipeline progress, results, and business development activities.
• Pursue leads and follow-ups with persistence, turning obstacles into opportunities.
Experience
• 10+ years in business development or construction operations within the AEC industry.
• Proven track record of driving new business and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Experience with CRM platforms and client-focused event planning.
Skills
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong network of industry contacts and an ability to expand it strategically.
• Highly self-motivated with a proactive and resourceful attitude.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to attend evening events and a passion for connecting with others.
