A unique restaurant like this deserves a unique space — AMCON’s project transformed this space into a “dumpling factory” complete with a demonstration kitchen, a dumpling cafe, retail space, and a production and packaging facility.

Scope of Work

The front-of-house for the “factory” includes classrooms with spaces for dining, retail, and a full production facility. AMCON’s scope includes construction from start to finish: installation of all finishes and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, as well as all machinery on the production floor.

Challenges & Highlights

This restaurant, classroom, and production facility for James Beard Award-winning chef Irene Li is not just a space for dining; it’s a food processing facility. In addition to close attention to detail to make this community-focused space a success, the AMCON team had to ensure safety and precision when installing machinery and factory equipment.

Results

Mei Mei offers a space for the community to come together over a shared love of food, and AMCON’s precise and efficient construction gave a permanent space to this brand that started as a food truck.
