Wonder

AMCON partnered with Wonder to bring its multi-concept food service model to high-traffic areas across Massachusetts. With the Burlington Mall location complete and Tyngsborough underway, this growing relationship shows what happens when a brand and its builder get to know each other well.

Scope of Work

At each location, AMCON provided full construction management and a fast-track buildout within an existing retail shell. The work covered both front-of-house and back-of-house spaces, along with the integrated technology systems that keep ordering, production, and display running smoothly. Out front, the Burlington location features fluted green millwork, light oak slat paneling, glazed tile, and an arched pick-up window. Pendant lighting, banquette seating, and floor-to-ceiling storefront glazing complete the dining area. Behind the scenes, AMCON built a complex, equipment-dense kitchen with tightly coordinated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Challenges & Highlights

Food service environments depend on speed, so every detail has to work for the people behind the counter as well as the guests in front of it. An integrated front-of-house and back-of-house layout, technology that supports ordering and production, and a dense kitchen build-out all had to come together in a compact footprint on an accelerated timeline. AMCON’s team coordinated trades and sequencing closely to keep each project moving and on track. Consistency matters just as much. A growing brand needs every location to look, feel, and perform like the last, while still adapting to each site. Because AMCON has already delivered one Wonder restaurant, the team brought that experience to Tyngsborough, including the brand’s standards, its operational priorities, and the lessons learned along the way. That familiarity speeds up decisions, builds trust, and makes each new project smoother than the one before. It is the kind of repeat partnership we aim for with every client, built on clear communication and doing what we say we will do.

Results

In Burlington, the finished restaurant is bright, energetic, and unmistakably Wonder, with a green and oak palette, pops of orange seating, and a warm welcome on the wall for the community it serves. The kitchen behind it is built to keep up with demand. With Tyngsborough in progress, AMCON is carrying the same consistent, high-performance approach into the next location. Together, these projects show how brand, technology, and performance can come together in a single space, and how a strong partnership helps a growing concept expand with confidence.
